Royal jelly is a creamy, white substance secreted from the hypopharyngeal and mandibular glands of young worker bees. It is used by the worker bees to feed the bee larvae and the queen.

- Taste: -Bitter.
- Odour: Slightly pungent.
Chemical Properties:
Royal jelly contains high levels of protein, sugar, minerals, and vitamins (very rich in vitamin B5 – panthotenic acid). It also contains water. PH is above 3.6 – 3.8.
